Located on a remote piece of land with no direct car access in the hills of Armenia, we are acutely aware of the impact we have on our environment and our environment on us as we need to carry everything by hand, be completely responsible for the trash we generate as there is no trash collection, look for alternative sources of energy as the main power may shut down at any time (wood fire and solar cooking), the city water tanks may get cleaned without any notice (so we're working on a watermill to get fresh spring water and rain water collection), planting a food forest.
This knowledge has led me to create a non profit foundation based on the principles of recycling, re-purposing, self sufficiency and sustainability. Therefore one is encourage to appreciate everything we see, touch and use from the fresh lemons you pick for your morning tea, to the groceries brought down by hand for your dinner.
We aim to use natural, local materials for construction as well as re-purpose any waste in our creative projects.
